To All,
Has anyone run into the situation where the Array & Offset command are not working at all?
I've tried this on all the "MEP" versions of Acad2011 (I'm running "Global, Imperial, and Metric), and in all 3 cases the array and offset command are NOT WORKING. I even tried the "3D" array and again nothing worked.
Clarification about nothing is working, meaning - the commands go the prompts and then the review does not show your items. Same with offset, meaning the command line ask for you to select your item (line) that you want to offset you select it, give it the measurement, and then the command stops after you pick the side, or hit enter.
Even using offset with just a "Through point" is not working.
BTW, I went to my old machine (32 bit, Xp machine) and the array command was working fine. Of course, this was my original "OEM" version of AutoCAD2011.
As usual, if anyone has any answer that would be great.
Thanks,
Milt (a.k.a. Drafter1981)

If you type in CUI at the command line, what CUI is used in the drop down selector for the "Main" CUI file? Is the Acad.cuix file loaded as a partial CUI? It has the potential to break the MEP Acad commands. Have you tried a reinstall with no customizations? You should consider reposting this to the Core AutoCAD forums where we may get better core AutoCAD suggestions. This issue does not occur in AutoCAD MEP normally, so it is something unique to your setup.
Hi, just wanted to follow up.
Josh,
Thanks for writing back. Just let you know there was no resolution to this problem. I believe this was just a "freak thing" with this one drawing. I've deleted the file and started from scratch with no repeat of the problem.
I also had posted this same question on the regular AutoCAD discussion group (under AutoCAD2011),

Anyway thanks for trying to help,
Regards,
Milt
That sounds like the solution then. Could have been a corrupt file. Starting from scratch would then fix it.
Thanks for the update.
