Adding to an Existing MvPart Family

Since the, out of the box, Air Terminal Sidewall grille selection is very limited, I'm forced to create new parts.
Per the text all new parts must be created within the same DWG as the existing family. I open the file and see various grilles within the drawing. When I create new grilles within this file, how are the new grilles associated with my new MvPart Sizes. Is there a specific grid within the part DWG that needs to be followed when placing my new parts or can I put these newly created parts anywhere within this drawing? The text does not discuss this.

I'm still trying to figure out how to add an additional grille to the library. After checking further into the sidewall supply grille MvParts, under air terminals, the original grilles are not even created properly. The 8x6, 10x6, 12x6, & 18x6 are actually 8x4, 10x4, 12x4, & 18x4.
What's up with that?

The blocks need to be added to the drawing using basic AutoCAD commands.
After the blocks exist you will need to use content builder to add the part
sizes to the catalogs and assign the correct blocks to the correct part
sizes.

You also don't have to put the blocks in the existing file, you can create
your own file with the AutoCAD blocks in it and then use content builder to
make the blocks into MvBlocks.

You just need to have the block defined in the
drawing it doesn't matter if/where you put it in the drawing, just name the
block to somthing appropriate and use a suitable insertionpoint.
