section not plotting correctly

The section will not plot the bottom of my sidewalk (rest of the surfaces
are fine in the section). The section was fine until I modified the
transition regions of the template for the sidewalk (per Bill's advice on
another project I worked on). Attached is an image showing the template
with the transition regions. As you can see the bottom of the sidewalk is
in the template. Not sure what I did wrong to cause the section to plot
incorrectly.

Bob is your subgrade of walk offset a tad from the top of sidewalk? Towards
the respective opposite side shall we say - meaning the Front walk subgrade
(L1) offsets towards the Back walk subgrade (L2) maybe a couple hundredths?

I learned that you'll need to use Terrain>3D Polylines>Create Curb when
doing that type of earthwork "adjustments" with respect to Transitioning
Alignments, at least.

Sorry. 😞

Don,
My subgrade of the walk is not offset from the top. Does it need to be? I
have not had trouble with this before.
Why use 3d polylines for earthwork adjustment when using transitioning
alignments? Doesn't the volume at each cross sections report correctly?
By the way, it was you who helped me with the transition regions, not Bill
(all though I'm sure he could have). Just wanted to give credit where
credit is due.

No it should not be - at least along the same vertical "plane" as the
Transition Alignment Bob.

I use them (TA's) fairly often when working with Street Alignments also, but
mine end up at the Edge Of Paving, some folks refer to that as the Gutter
Bar. In that way the entire street is broadened and narrowed to account for
Bus Turnouts, or Right-Turn Lanes along an Arterial.

Not a problem on the "credit" either Bob. I've been known to say "call me
anything except late for dinner" - with a surname like mine. ;0)

I think I figured out what the problem is, now how to solve it. L1 used to
be the outside of the sidewalk (futherest away from the centerline), now it
is the inside (closest to the centerline). It appears that my transition
which should be at L2 is at L1. I cleared First Offset in the Edit
transitions... of the Design Control and attached the alignment for L2
transition. Not sure why I can't clear out L1 transition.

When you Edit the Template, and then do a Display of the Datum, does the
Datum show up where you expect it to?

If not then it would need to be adjusted.

If it does, then may I suggest that you may need to use the item in the
Cross Section menu that allows you to place the Design Control back in a
"default" standing, using the null Template IOW.

Resolved the problem. The starting and ending stationings had been modified
to a longer length. This did not allow me to unselect the first alignment.
Once I imputed the orginal stationing I was able to unselect the alignment.
