sERVER ERROR

I just tried to move my LDD data to a new server. I
maintained the drive letter and I get the error attached.

Any ideas??

Having had issues with attachments previously, I checked the Web Browser side also.

No attachment there either John.

Try again?

I should add that the network & dwg files are
accessible. I can open them but cannot save back w/o being told that the dwg is
read-only.

And is this happening due to the
Server "improvements" you've mentioned recently.

A firm I worked for two years ago had
the same issues prior to changing locations. This was in conjunction with LDT3
and network cabling pre-CAT-5. Same problems with Saving, which completely went
away at the new location.

Most likely due to the CAT-5 or 6
cabling installed at the new office.

This should have been a no-brainier. I did not
appreciate learning that I might not meet the requirements 😉

I found out that when I copied all of the files
from the old server to the new, Windoze 2003 server applied a read-only
attribute to EVERY file and folder. Our company database did not work
either.

I changed all of the access rights on the new
server and things are actually working as I thought they should.

Just send Mr. Gates a note of
"appreciation". 🙂

I'm doubtful whether you might hear
back from them though.

I just saw today where Intel will
take 90 days to figure how they need to re-structure the firm to achieve
improvements to their present status.

I had decided awhile ago regarding my
preference for AMD, and now I'm sure I made the proper decision re. speed of
processors.

90 days?

Ah go figure...

I know my letter of appreciation would be a very
high ranking transmittal. I really think Bill likes us.

Can you sense the sarcasm?

Thanks for all the help. Have a good night. I need
a beer.
