1. if i am working on more than one alignment profile, how can you preserve a profile when you are working on a different alignment profile on the same drawing and the command call to erase a existing and the only you want to erase in the profile you are working on

Are you saying that you have more than one profile for the same alignment?

I've only been able to work on one profile at a time, after making it the "current" profile.  Nothing I do in it affects any other porfile.
