multiple insertions of same point

One of the drafters has a drawing where there are 4 copies of each COGO point. Is there an easy way to get rid of 3 copies of the point? The Express Tools Delete Duplicate Objects does not work. We are using LDT 2008. The original version of the drawing on the server is fine and so is the copy that I checked to make sure it was ok to pay the bill from the consultant surveyor. She has done a lot of work on her copy.

Remove all points using
Points, Remove from drawing. Then use SS (selection set) to select the
remaining points. Check the "object" box and enter AECC_POINT or select "Pick"
and select a point from the screen, click Build Selection, then Apply, then use
the erase command and enter "P" to select the selection set.

That'll erase all points that weren't removed from
the drawing.

This should work for LDT & C3D.

You mentioned that this will work in LDT. Does this include 2007? I cannot seem to get it to work. It goes through the prompts asking for a window definition and grid spacing and then nothing. Are there any other steps to be done other than loading the file and running it?

Send me your DWG (with duplicate points) to dotson [at] dotsoft [dot]
com and I'll test it.

BTW, your email is showing and could result in loads of spam!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give the one that doesn't involve downloading; unfortunately IT has set things up so that we can no longer download anything period.

It was designed for deleting duplicate points have a higher point
number, not to correct in place copies.
