linetype scales in viewports

Is it possible to have the scale of my lines look the same in viewports with different scales? For example, I have a viewport with a scale of 1"=10' and another with 1"=50'. Can I make a centerline look identical on paper in these two viewports? I have played around with psltscale with no luck, and can't find any other way. It just seems like there is a way, but I can't remember. Can someone help? Thanks,
Rick

Assuming your plotting in paperspace at 1:1, set ltscale to 1 and psltscale
to 1 and you should be able to achieve what you want.

Does this not work?

Set your ltscale to 1 and psltscale to 1 (on). Each viewport should show
the linetype the same.

No, it doesn't work. In the 1"=50' the linetype is really really tight, and then in the 1"=10' it looks just about right. What could I be doing wrong?

Is your linetype scale on the line in question set
to 1?

yes. I just checked one of many and it is set to 1. I don't believe there are any lines in my drawing that are not set to the global line scale. Doesn't the Drawing set up play into this somehow?

okay, I have set my ltscale to 1. And I set my psltscale to 0, and the viewports look the same, but the scale is way too tight. How do I make my line scale look better without changing my ltscale from 1. On top of all of this, if in my drawing setup my drawing scale is set to 20, won't the ltscale automatically revert back to 20 when I reopen this drawing? It seems to me that is what has happened in the past when I have changed my ltscale.

I think I finally have the right results. You all were right. Both need to be set to 1, but for whatever reason it didn't work right the first few times I tried this. Does it matter what order or where you type in the command to change this (paperspace/modelspace)? Now I am just curious why it didn't work rigt the first few times. Yes, I did a regen.

You need to be in the particular viewport when you
set these variables....

You typically won't see the results in paperspace
unless you do a "regenall" which regenerates all viewports as well as
paperspace.

Rick,

You may have done a regen but, did you do a
regenall?  A regen will only regen the current viewport (one you created or
paperspace).  A regenall will regen all viewports in the current
layout.

I guess I should read the entire thread before
posting a reply.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a ltscale variable for
the Model tab and a ltscale variable for Paper Space -  Just set the
variable for the Model space tab to the drawing scale and leave the Paper space
variable set at 1.

I definitely agree!  Perhaps you should post
this in the autodesk.aec.land-desktop.wishes newsgroup.
