export point data to Ascii file

Please help me, have been trying to figure out how to import and export point data. Tried several attempts using help and discussion topices, but always fail. If I select edit points,select all the edit points list is always blank. Process says it has located 42 points and 42 filtered, but doesn't show any data...Sure that i am missing an important step, but what!! Dwg file has several points created in Cadd 2000i and loaded into LLD.

It sounds like you have some orphaned points.
Orphaned means they exist in the drawing but not in the database. Try the Check
Points command on the Points menu to add the points to your database. Now try
list, highlight, and print to file.

Sounds to me like he has some AutoCAD nodes, but no
LDD/LDT point entities.

Hi,

I suggest you do the tutorials on Points. Without a basic understanding of
what ALD Points are you have very little hope of dealing with issues like
these.

List one of the points created by Cadd 2000i (whatever that is ?) and if it
lists as an AutoCAD point then that will explain why the ALD processes
aren't working.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Forgot about the tutorials. Just thought that a cad .dwg would be converted into land development. Never thought a point could be so complicated.

True, but one would think that every thing should be simple,remember days when u used a leroy to show results.!!
