I use the .dwf viewer program to open tax maps, and there doesn't seem to be a layer control menu available anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions about this?
What "version" of the viewer are you opening them in?

Also, when I bring the .dwfs into autocad, all of the words on the tax map changes to some incomprehensible symbols. Is there any way to remedy this as well?

Also make sure you scroll down far enough to see the layers list, in the
version 7 if all the palettes are expanded the layers list is not visible.
