Turning off layers in X-ref

For some reason, LDD won't let me turn off a layer that is in an X-ref. It will let me freeze it, but I just want to turn it off. Does anyone know how to fix this?

How are you trying to turn it off?

By layer off (the little light bulb).

When you hit the button, the command line has options. Type S for settings &
then B for Block. You most likely have this function set to NONE. Try Block
or Entity. Mess around with both settings to see what they do & note that
the layer freeze command has the same options.

It works, Thanks! Both of them seem to work the same way. I am sure there are differences, but I just kept it set to Entity.

They do work different. Depends on what you select. Type LAYFRZ in Help. The
Quick Reference has it summed up very nice.

Let me correct that last one. It depends on what you want turned off. The
layer the block/ref is on or the layer that the block's entities are on.
