    Text Won't Mask - Hold's Z-Position

Unable to mask text in ACAD Land Desktop 2007. The particular text which I'm trying to mask will not flatten to zero and I believe that this is what is causing the problem. Manually editing the properties and 'Flatten Z-values' to zero don't work. If I edit the text alignment z to 0 I still get a position z of something like -0.017302934. When I run text mask on said text, I get a return of "Invalid option keyword". What is going on with my text that I cannot completely set it's z-coordinate to zero? I have tried moving it 0,0,0 and yet nothing. Running out of ideas and I have about 300 text objects that need masks. Please help.

    Thanks.

Convert them to MText and use the background mask. I know it doesn't address
the elevation problem but it'll get you plotting in the mean time.

And since you mentioned LDT 2K7, then everybody has been expecting me to ask
if you've got the necessary Service Packs for this release yet JMont?

If not then the WebPage for them is in the tinyurl:

Thank you for the reply's. I have not been able to solve this problem yet. I have been able to workaround it by wiping out rectangles around each text object. Below is my current system's configuration. I have had Service Pack 2A since it came out several months ago.

    System:
    Gateway, P4, 2Ghz, 1.5Gb RAM, Windows XP Professional SP2

    Autodesk:
Autodesk Land Desktop 2007 (Service Pack 2a)
Autodesk Civil 3d Civil Design Companion 2007
    Autodesk Survey 2007
Autodesk Land Desktop 3 2000 (Service Pack 1)
    Autodesk Civil Design 3 2000

Not that it "should" be of consequence with the issue you've brought up
JMont, but after you installed the 2K7 "product line", did you perform a
Repair on the previous "product line" you mentioned?

That comes from the ReadMe on the CD/DVD (since around the LDT 2000i
release), so you can check that out for yourself - when you have the time.

And I always had a 2002 dwg file format, when I used LDT 3?

    Hi Don,

Yes, I repaired my 2002 LDT after installing 2007.

And I should have wrote 2002 instead of 2000.

Well then there's only one more option for you to try, as far as I know, and
it's fairly extreme I should warn you:
    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/item?siteID=123112&id=8018911&linkID=9240777

I've seen that help others here with the problems they've reported with LDT
    2K7.

HTH and discuss this recommendation with your SysMgr prior to implementing
    it please.

I think I've found out what is causing this issue. It seems to be that the contour labels I am trying to mask are not aligned with the UCS. In this case, how do I go about aligning text to the UCS? Has anyone found a solution to this?
