And there are LIN files up on the Customer Files DG also, already setup for
either Metric Linetypes (Laurie Comerford placed his set there back a couple
years ago), or Imperial Linetypes (I placed my set there at roughly the same
time).
You can easily find both of them by using "civil linetypes" - w/o quotes -
in a Search of that DG Buick87GN.
I determined quite a while ago, that the Lines?Curves>Special Lines made way
too many "pieces" for my tastes. 😮
And for the Manholes (and other types of these Blocks in AutoCAD), you might
want to think about using Dynamic Blocks - see the attached 2K7 dwg file if
you've got 2K7 at your firm?
I didn't have 2K6 when I created that DynBlock, so that's why I mentioned
the release data for you.

If you open the Acad.lin file you will see linetypes that contain text. Copy
one of those to the end of the section and replace the text with an S.
To find which acad.lin you are using use (findfile "acad.lin").
Something like this:
*S_LINE,Gas line ----S----S----S----S----S----S--
A,.5,-.2,["S",STANDARD,S=.1,R=0.0,X=-0.1,Y=-.05],-.25

Hello! Anybody converting from Terremodel to Autocad? I'm trying to get
line types like the Terramodel ones. See enclosed png. This TM line type
called Sewer and MH. It automatically sets the manhole at the end of the
polyline and then inserts the text S and equally spaces it between manholes.
Any ideas are of course greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
