I am using a SDR33 DC, In the help section of the carlson connect software it mentions something about modes, yet I have not discovered where to change the modes, I am having a problem with downloading the DC it automatically imports the points, that have coordinate values, NEZ into the DWG file, before I have a chance to edit the field book.
Thanks,
Paulo

This is what was included in the help section for Carlson Connect:
SDR-33
The SDR-33 has different modes for storing and transferring data. In coordinate mode, the download will create points in the project point database and the raw data (.FBK) file will only contain some basic header lines. In the raw data mode, the download will create all the measurement data in the raw file and no points will be created in the coordinate file. The third mode in the SDR-33 creates both raw data in the raw data (.FBK) file and points in the point database. The Include Time Stamps in Notes option sets whether all the date-time records for each point are put in the raw data (.FBK) file as description records. The Include Point Attributes in Notes option will store SDR code 13(AT) codes to the point note (.NOT) for the coordinate file.

I'm not familiar with Carlson, but here's the general idea on a SDR-33:
First, we download to a .RAW file, which just contains the raw angle,
distance and vertical information. You CANNOT get points to insert into a
drawing from this file.
Then, we convert the .RAW file to a .FBK file. The next step is to edit the
.FBK file.
Once the edit is done, then we import the .FBK file into LDD.
The DC Connect software with Land Development's Survey package is quite easy
to use, IMO.

We use the option in the LandDesktop, SDR Transfer, it like what you do but, in the process of doing that the program automatically imports any points that have NEZ ...... in front of the point followed by the northing and easting
