    POINT IMPORT

How can I import the point data from LD2008 into LD2009.

There used to be a FMTMGRDB.DAT file that you could replace with the old one from 2008 but I do not see that file anymore in LD2009.

    Thanks in advance

Why can't you just export all points in the job feom ld2008 to your desktop then open up ld2009 and import them that way?

OK, couple of ways I know to do this...

You can export the points to a XML file & import in LDC09.

You could open the 08 drawing and Save as to an 09 drawing and then using the project manager associate the new 09 dwg to the old 06 database (thus screwing up the old 08 data).  Or you can use Windows to copy the cogo directory from the 08 project into the 09 project, overwriting any of the data in the 09 folder.

What I would do if this is a new project in 09 (or a continuation of the 08 projct in 09) is to Save as the old dwg in 09 and copy the cogo (and any other pertinent directories) into the 09 project.  You can then go to town in 09, saving the old 08 stuff as archival.
