Not responding to commands

I' running LD3 and if I want to edit a a profile I get the following: Unknown command "VCEDIT". Press F1 for help.
Also if I select something and want to list the properties I get the following :
_properties Unknown command "PROPERTIES". Press F1 for help.

Any idea what the problem is?? I need help.
