Problem:
I was no longer able to create a profile because after I sampled from surface in Profiles, I'd try to Create a Full Profile only to be told that no sampled data was found.
A great workaround (almost all the way in my case) I found from back in 2007 by Joe Bouza was to sample from surface in Cross sections then sample the profile from Sections. This worked fine, I spent another hour superimposing DT profiles and designing my FG profile. Once I went to Edit Design Control I found out that no vertical exists. Grrr.
Any help would be much appreciated.
