MTEXT with background mask

I have problem with MTEXT background mask, the mask doesn't work when I plot the drawing. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Turn off the "Lines Merge" setting on your plot driver.

Hey RK;

For the 2K6 version, the only other option I can see is Lines Overwrite.

Most times I've seen this used (overwrite vs. merge) the results are
somewhat less than desirable?

I'm familiar with battling with Draworder as a result of this, to keep the
Existing features in the Background.

Maybe you have further information to share?

Lines merge vs. lines overwrite is a plotter driver setting, and has
nothing to do with the AutoCAD version.

Lines merge = ON prevents screened lines from plotting on top of black
lines. Also prevents background mask from working.

Lines overwrite = ON is the opposite.

There may be other specific effects.
