LDT suddenly opening Multiple DWGS

We have a mapper at our office, running LDT companion 2008, who buzzed me this AM because her AutoCAD was acting "funny". It is now opening multiple drawings in the same window, thereby messing with her projects. We tried sdi to 1 but it does not save that setting and the next time she opens AutoCAD it is doing the same thing again. Any ideas what it is or how to fix it. She really would rather not reinstal
