LDDT 2005 re-Installation errors

We are using WinXP Pro, we work over a Windows network with our Autodesk
licenses network installed. This is not happening to any other computers
(see events below). NET Framework is V1.1 w/hotfix.

My hard drive began having bad sectors. Other than taking minutes to start
up, there were no other errors occurring unless they were in the background.
Our warranty replaced the hard drive. We had a spare computer (identical to
mine except the processor speed and video card) here at our office that I
took that hard drive and began configuring if for my use. At one time that
hard drive had AutoCAD and VoloView loaded.

I loaded a silent install of LDDT2005, Civil Design2005 and Express Tools.
Upon launching LDDT, I received the following errors:

Menu Load Failed : File not found acad.(mnu/mns/mnc)

Base.dcl : can't find file

Error loading Dialog Control File

Semantic errors in DCL file Acadmap.dcl; see file acad.dce for details

Semantic errors in DCL file Ade.dcl; see file acad.dce for details

At this point the program starts but is unresponsive to commands.

I contacted our subscription reseller and they provided me with instructions
to get past all of those errors and have the program appears to launch
correctly even to the point of not displaying any error and opening the
"OPEN DRAWING" dialog box. Once a drawing is opened and the program goes
thru its loading is where the following errors happen:

Error opening point group database: Error SCODE: 80040154
Error opening point XDREF database: Error SCODE: 80040154
Error opening point DescKey Database: Error SCODE: 80040154
Error opening point database: Error SCODE: 80040154

Then the drawing opens, but no Land Development functions work. I get a Land
Development not initialized message and nothing works.

Upon closing the drawing I get the following error message:

FATAL ERROR: Attempt to delete class 'AECAppArx' which still has registered
descendants.

I have done all the uninstalls, delete the remaining file directories, clean
the registry, reinstall from scratch all with the same results.

I really can not say help loud enough. Please, is there any advice out
there. This is urgent

Hey Rick;

When you say "I have done all the uninstalls, delete the remaining file
directories, clean
the registry, reinstall from scratch all with the same results."

Did that include ALL of the aspects of this?

I just finished going step by step on the white paper you point to (which I
received from Autodesk) with the same exact results and the only thing I did
not do is the Anti-virus thing, which I could not find in my Task Manager
listing. I will have to consult with our IT guy (who is not resident at our
office) and ask which file to turn off.

I must say that this is becoming beyond me as to what to do next besides a
new, full install of my hard drive (see my original post for my problems)

I have found that during start up of the program, there is an error that
states:

C:\Program Files\Land Desktop 2005\AcMapWorkspace.arx cannot find a
procedure that it needs. .Failed.
AcMapWorkspace.arx Load Failed

But, I think I have seen this error in the past when my original hard drive
was being used.
