LAP LISP (CHANGE LAYER PROPERTY)

LISP DOESN'T WORK WITH 2000i AS DID WITH OTHER RELEASES.
WHEN PICKING THE XREFED LAYER TO CHANGE, IT SAYS LAYER NOT ALLOWED. THE LAYER IS IN LAYER LIST BUT DOESN'T SHOW IN THE LIST WHEN ACCESSING THROUGH THE LAP COMMAND.

Since I'm unfamiliar with the LAP.lsp, I'm taking a stab
here:  Check to see if the layer name has spaces in it.  I've noticed
some lisp routines that used to work in older releases couldn't handle the
spaces in layer names.  Perhaps you could post the lisp and the drawing you
are trying to run it on in customer files.

I THINK IT IS DUE TO THE SPACES IN TEXT ALSO. NOW I NEED TO FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO WRITE A LISP THAT WILL WORK.

If you post the code we may find the error and you
can avoid the need to rewrite the routine. I think it's not
necessary.

Hi Alex,

The program is one of the original Softdesk functions carried forward into
LDD, but not put in either the menus, or toolbars.

The set of functions LAP, LAS, LAF, LAZ, LAT, LOK in R2i do not work with
layers containing spaces. Space capability in layer names had not been
invented when these programs were written.

In R3 the program have been upgraded to allow you to use spaces in layer
names.

Personally, I couldn't be bothered helping someone who doesn't even have the
courtesy to turn of his Caps lock while seeking help.
