Internal Error: cannot open MTEXT to write changes

Hi. I am running Land Desktop Companion 2008 and after opening my drawing and editing some MTEXT for a few commands, I get the following error:
Internal error: cannot open MTEXT object to write changes. Please contact technical support and be prepared to describe the events leading to this point.
I am unable to make any changes to the MTEXT including move, rotate or delete. I can restart my drawing and get a few more edits in before the error returns.
Thanks for any help!

Open the dwg using Recover & then audit until any errors are all fixed.

Report back if you have no errors or if this does not help.

No errors detected and the problem still exists. But I did figure out that I can open a new drawing and make as many MTEXT edits as I want until I save. That is when the error occurs. After a manual Ctrl+S (_qsave). Thanks.

I had this same problem when I was running 2008. I only had this problem with annotative text. Try removing the annotation and see if that helps.

Your suggestion, while it works, defeats the purpose of the feature.

I am also having this issue with Annotative text (using 3D 2008), we use a customized romans.shx font (which isnt an option to change). With EVERY qsave, the annotative text in the drawing (and any block containing either annotative text, or an atribute whose style is set to annotative) become non-editable.

The "fix" is the audit my drawing, after which time AutoCAD finds no errors and repairs no errors but the problem is "resolved" (at least until the next qsave)... but with a large C3D model drawing, this process can take 30sec-1min with every audit.

Is there something else I can change in my drawings (or my system) to resolve this issue? The potenital for annotative text is huge, but only if it works!

it may be just me, but i believe the annotative text has no issues in c3d, only in LDC does it have issues. i believe i read that on a forum somewhere.

... Trust Me, I am using C3D 2008, and I am having these issues. I am telling you there is a problem.

Was this issue ever resolved. I have been using C3D2012 since it was released and have started getting the same error.
