Font Plot Problem

When using the simplex font style, everything looks as it should on the screen, but on the plot preview and the hard copy all the letters with points (N, W, M, etc.) plot REALLY pointy. Searched forever on the internet and in the discussions groups and couldn't find anyone having the same problem. Please help.

Windows XP (SP2)
Pentium IV 3.20 GHz
1GB RAM
Land Desktop 2005

Thanks,

Jessica Fox

Hey Jessica;

In the Style Dialog Box, what Font is listed for this Style name?

It sounds to me as if it's something other than Simplex.

So I've attached a PNG of my Simplex Style together with the Properties, and your's looks significantly different?

Jessica,

In your plot dialog bog under your Plot Style Table (pen assignments) click edit on your current plot style and change the Line Join Style to "use object end style" for any or all the colors being affected. This will get rid of the points on the letters.

Hope this helps!

A pen width assigned to the font color can also produce the spikes.

Thanks for your help everybody. I ended up changing both the linewidth and the join style, worked great.
