Ex x-sections LDD 2008

I have to do x-sections on an existing road that consists of concrete panels and asphalt shoulders. The concrete panel depth is constant. But, the asphalt should depth are not. if the pavement depth was consistant I generate an existing surface and then copy and move the existing surface down to get the bottom of the surface so i can calculate milling and fills.

I cant figure out how to do this if the pavement depths change through out the surface. I do not know the pavement depths every 25 feet. But, I do have the info every 300 feet or so. I gueess the numbers will not be dead on.

I was thinking of averaging out the depths. but, I would like to know if and I how i can do this.

Any help would be appreicaited
