I have a drawing file that I am trying to open that is just a newer version of the same drawing I already have and opened. But for some reason when I try to open, it goes through about 87% progression and you can se the file in the background as it tries to open and then an error message box pops up and the heading is

    Autocad Error Aborting,

Fatal Error: Out of memory, shutting down.

    Hi,  Welcome to the boards.

It's very helpful if you can create a signature that includes what hardware and OS you are currently using, and what software version you use.

Right now, we need a bit more information to help with your question.  What OS are you using, how much RAM do you have, and what LDD/LDC version are you using??
