Civil Contour Object

I created contours, redid them three different times...First time I wasn't able to insert contour labels, second time my 0 elevation points were being read and also saw that they WERE being made as 'Civil Contouring Objects' yet I still could not use the labeling tool, THIRD time I recreated them to see if labels would work by some chance...

Out of all these attempts I have not been able to:
1. have my Terrain Explorer read any of my contours that were drawn, and
2. insert any of the label options.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? This has never happened before while I contoured.

thank you for your thoughts!!

Sovled the label issue...it worked (must have been from rebooting my computer or something). Since that worked I thought maybe the Terrain Explorer would now acknowledge that there were contours in the drawing....but it still is saying there are 0 contours.

Only question now is how I get "readable" contours into my drawing.

The contours the TME is referring to would be contours (AEC Objects or
Polylines) that you would want to use to create a DTM. say you got a plan
that only had contours in it. No points or 3D polylines and you wanted to
create a surface.

Right-click on Contours in the TME and select Add Contour Data.

And the CCOs produced from a Surface aren't normally included in the "list
of entities" used to put it "together", as it were abc2006.

I normally think of them as a "by-product". ;0)

I was just concerned...most of the other drawings I have done created AND identified the contours; and I always produced them the same way.

?? I guess as long as they're showing up in the drawing, I shouldn't be complaining!

Thanks for the help guys!
