Arrow problem on leaders

I just closed a drawing and the next time i opened it I got problems with the arrows on leaders. Attached is a PDF showing the problem. Does anybody have an idea why this happened and how to fix it.

Please explain or highlight the problem.

What exactly is the problem? It looks fine to me, assuming you're using dots
for arrows. If that's the problem, go into whatever dimstyle was used for
them and change the leader arrow back to closed-filled or whatever. You may
have to use dim update after that.

Look closely at the "grade" arrows.

I don't see any "tails" in the example.

Just heads - on some of them. Looks like two separate Dim Styles to me.

See attached.

Good eyes Don.

Either a different dim style or someone set an override and matched the
properties.

Yes, it helps sometimes to be nearsighted. 🙂

Your right Don. The problem is that the arrohead is now "stretched" and
the tail is missing. We aren't using any dimensions in this drawing. Do
you have any idea how this happend? Is there an easy way to fix it besides
redrawing all of them manually?

They look like Leaders to me, and Leaders are still controlled by the
Dimension Styles.

That's why I wondered if you have two Dim Styles in the Base Dwg.

Look to me like your leaders got exploded and stretched. If that is the case, no, there is no way to globally fix this without redrawing them.

Hello,
I am having the exact same problem with my arrowheads as you stated in Apr-06. Did you ever resolve it? I tried undoing back back back etc to see if I could tell when they changed but it was unseccessful, they stayed stretched and exploded.

iampay02, did you ever figure out how to fix this or what caused it? thanks if you can help.

Marilou I'll have to ask you the same question I asked iampay02 - are you
using two distinctly different dimension Leader Styles in your dwg file?

As they never really got back to me with an answer, I can only surmise that
it "might" be related to a Custom arrowhead definition?

I use one called DIMarrow and haven't had trouble with it for - oh, about
three or four years now.

See attached.

My next reply will include the Lisp file I've used for the same time period
mentioned above to effectively handle dimensioning.

You can only attach one thing at a time, and I didn't feel like Zipping the
whole lot of them together. 😉

As mentioned earlier, my Lisp for the dimensions.

Check it out, it might be just what you need for whatever issue you're
having with Leaders Marilou?

Thanks Don for your reply,
Actually I did not set up the drawing. I inherited it from a contractor. There is just one Dim Style named STANDARD. I must have done something to cause certain leaders to explode but I don't know what. Only the STANDARD leaders are still intact. There is nothing for me to do but leave the stretched/exploded leaders as they are. It would take forever to redo all of them, as they are on a big runway drawing. I'm looking for your attachment, don't see it yet. I'm going to your second reply. Thanks again. So nice to hear a voice.
