ACAD 2010 and Land Desktop compatibility

When we open an LDD file in Autocad version 2010, the LDD file gets corrupted. Here’s a narrative of the issue:

1. I view or work on the LDD file using Autocad version 2010, then save/close the file.
2. Our surveyor opens the cad file in LDD and his survey points have disappeared.

This issue occurs even if I just view an LDD file in Autocad and close the file without saving.

Same problem here,  I send  client the job using 2012 Civil 3d,

They can open it in Land Desktop but cannot edit it and points

are either gone or unusable?
