3d Polylines by Point Ranges

I'm trying to figure out a way to draw a 3d polyline by point ranges with the elevation data. I found the command that allows you to do lines by point ranges, but it dose not pick up point elevations. The points are at different elevations so I can't just draw a 2d line then convert.

Any help would be great, Thx

Terrain, 3d polylines, create by elevation will do
it but you've got to enter each point number. Also you can insert the
points by actual elevation (setting in point settings) then draw a pline by
snapping the nodes. That'll give you a 3d pline.

I also have a routine that'll connect all the
points in a group with a 3d pline but it only works in numerical
order.

He gives 30 day free demo. Try the Left2Right
option.

Drag a window around the points and it sorts them
by x and y

and draws to the nearest point. or use by
descriptiors and

it will do it by codes,  lots of other options
too.

I use it all of the time!

In Terrain Model explorer, make a dummy surface, use Breaklines>Define by Point Numbers , enter your range ( ie 1000-1200) an then import your breaklines ( they will be 3dPolys).

Now if they would automatically update when the points change, then we'd have something!
