2007

Has anyone installed this yet?

If so have you migrated settings from a previous
release? I have 5 seats of 2005. I understand that the 2006 release would mess
up the migration of customizations. Is this still true w/ 2007?

From the 2007 readme:

"If a previous release of Autodesk Land Desktop is already installed when
you install Autodesk Land Desktop 2007, it is strongly recommended you
not migrate settings."

Thanks Drew. I am still waiting for the postman so
I don't have the README file yet. I am just trying to prepare for
this.

Off to the clients to make sure everyone has their
settings saved.

Hey John/Drew;

I had excellent experience with my
pre-2K6 settings coming in through MENULOAD.

No Migration involved, as these were
two existing installations I was using recently.

So I'm not contemplating problems
when 2K7 arrives at my new "digs".

FWIW we will be installing the
"bookshelf-bound" copy of 2K6 (from Subscription) as soon as our new PCs make
their appearance in about 10 Business Days.

And I've heard that 2K7 is a new dwg
format also, so we'll continue to use the 2K4 format we have now. And I'm aware
that 2K6 was supposed to make dwg sizes smaller also, so we will see whether
that's accurate soon also.

I just posted a Topic on the 2K6
forum to check the status of my memory.
