Hatch pattern looks different on sample and drawing.

    Hello!

Why does my hatch pattern look different on sample in the hatch window and on the actual drawing?

I attached a picture where the top part is what it should look like and the bottom part is how it looks like on my drawing.

    Thank you in advance!

Actualy, almost every pattern act like this. Even triangles on a certain pattern dont look like triangles at all.
I am not using custon patterns, but the ones that come with Autocad.

If I remember rightly (as this used to happen to me) it's because the hatch origin of the pattern is set to 0,0

When you call up the hatch dialog box, look at the bottom left where it says "Hatch Origin"

"Use Current Origin" will be highlighted.

    Change that to "Specified Origin"

    Tick "Default to Boundary Extents"

And now you can set where within the object you are hatching the grip for the hatch will be by choosing one of the options in the drop down list.
