unahndled access violation 77e72b5ah

I am having difficulty with autocad 2000 LT. After installing, I can run the program fine for a while. But I'll go to open the program, and hour or so later, and get "Fatal error: unahndled access violation reading 0x0000 exception at 77e72b5ah" This message appears when I attempt to open the program, either by using the shortcut, exe, or clicking on a drawing file. I've un-installed and re-installed several times. I have searched over the internet to find several people posting questions involving the exact error. So far no solutions. I am running Windows XP professional, with admin privs on. I have uninstalled any antivirus software, as that has been suggested as a probable cause. Can anyone help me? Thanks you.

LT2000 is most likely the problem, it's not supported in WinXP (read no
Autodesk help), and requires all patches installed.

Once a program starts acting up like that, a full and complete uninstall is
required, with Windows registry clean-out, restart of PC, shutting down all
running applications (everything) and re-installing. If it still
mis-behaves, consider an LT upgrade or OS downgrade.

I am having a very similar problem with LT 2002 after a years trouble free use.I am receiving message unhandled access violation with exception error 77e868c5h. Does this mean a clean install or is there a fix.

If it 'just' started happening, it's more likely at the same time something
was added or updated or upgraded on your machine and is now causing a
conflict.
Try retracing your steps, remember what it was, even backup your files and
use your OS's restore feature.

I had installed some 3d imaging software prior to the problems. I have done
a clean reinstall of LT which worked ok but the fault returned when I copied
some drawing files over from my other computer which I use as a storage
backup facility on my two machine local network. After another clean install
it works OK.
