surveyor line bearings

I have set my units to surveyor units, but I can not figure out how to have AutoCad place the bearing (N25...E) above a particular line on my drawing. I can see the line bearing when I "List" the line. Thanks for any help.

UNITS command>Angle Type pulldown>Surveyors Units, is that
what you are looking for?

No.. I have the Surveyors units turned on. I may be wrong but I thought there was a way to have AutoCad place the bearing of a line above the line on a drawing instead of having to type in "N so many degrees, min, sec E" as just plain text.

If set correctly in UNITS, your can LIST the line in
question then use the LASTANGLE variable to report the
bearing you need.

Oops, sorry, no LIST, you have to draw the angle then use
the variable.

You need a macro that will draw a line over the angle, erase
it, then list LASTANGLE and write it.
