restoring layer states

I`m saving different layer states for use in different viewports, they will
save and
it says in the layer states manager that they have but when i try to restore
them,
nothing happens. I usually work like this all the time but today it won`t
work.

I do not think Layer States stores any VPLAYER settings, and therefore will
not restore. Is that the problem?

Otherwise you do not need to be in a viewport to restore layer settings, you
can just do it from outside. It could also be that you really are not saving
Layer States: walk the group through your process, in detail.
