privious plot

Hi:

Our company has just installed LT 2006 and has found some differences from LT 2002. To print a previous plot in the LAYOUT page is working fine. However, we can no longer print our previous plot from our MODEL SPACE.

In-addition, my boss is too lazy to scroll his mouse. He wants to get the job done by just pressing ''CTRL+P'' and ''OK''.

So, the question is: How can I apply a previous plot to a print, without having to scroll the mouse, in the MODEL SPACE?

Or is it a useless option that the Auto Desk has decided to get rid off?

Here is where you stick your neck out, like we all do...

Setup his own toolbar on his setup, each button designed to
do one type/size of plot, show him how to click on it. AND
get him to design the buttons so that he knows the
difference between a letter vs. tabloid vs. 36x48 plot etc.

All you need is -PLOT command (note the dash).

Wait here for other ideas from others too.

First of all, thanks a lot for you answer. It is not a bad idea, but it does not quite get the point.
On the layout sheet, it has got the ''APPLY TO ALL LAYOUT'' to do the job. All he wants to know is that can you do the same thing in the MODEL TAB?
Again, many thanks for the help

Model is not considered a 'layout'.

-PLOT command, type it at the command line, answer Yes for
a detailed plot configuration, explore it and see what all
it can do. Decide if that's what you want.

PREVIEW command launches the preview, but it cannot be run
from inside -PLOT command. You will have to get creative and
run -PLOT command and answer the correct question about
saving the pagesetup and not proceeding with the plot, then
launch PREVIEW, then restart -PLOT command to complete the
plot.

Experiment on your own at the command line first, write down
the sequences and answers you type it, put them in a orderly
list, post here, and someone can write your first macro for
you. You can them develop it further or create new ones.
