leader align in lt 2008

Is there a way to align leaders in 2008 to the end point of the leader and not to the insertion point of the text. I would like to align my leaders on the left side of a part to align with the end of the leader, not the text.

I am using the new leader align tools and want to align existing leaders. They are on the left side of the object, but it aligns the left side of the text, not the left end if the leader arrow. Is there anything I can change and make it align to the leader line and not to the text.
