keynote / keyed note tool / blockset / plugin?

Hello,

This seems like it should be an easy question, but I cannot seem to find the answer anywhere.  Is there a plugin or a native tool that I am not aware of that makes adding keyed notes todrawings any easier.  Something where (for instance) if I add a numbered block to the drawing, a corresponding item will appear within my title block/legend.  Something referencing external files such as a txt or excel would be fine, but my one-off cut and paste method is for the birds!

I believe there is built in functionality for this in MEP, but is there anyway I can add this to LT?

Fields and SSM may be the closest you can get with LT.

Custom Properties can be added to Fields if need be.

LT at 1/5 the cost. They had to drop some convenience.
