internal error !dbutil.cpp@870

A person in the office has the reoccuring internal error (internal error
!u:\global\src\objectdbx\db\imp\src\dbutil.cpp@870)

I don't even know where to start with this one. He got it 9 seperate times
yesterday and rebooted the machine after each occurance.

Any input would be greatly appereciated,
Terry McDonald

When? Doing what? PC specs? windows version? Video card? If during printing,
then to what? Have you tried AUDIT to fix any file issues? Have you tried
video card driver updates? Mouse driver updates? There are so many things
you can do to start fixing the problem, have you done anything so far that
might help give someone here other ideas?

I was looking for some information about this error--what causes it? what
does it involve?

I am assuming that a video or driver problem is most likely the cause from
your reply.

I don't know much about the problem because it hasn't really done it with me
looking over his shoulder but the person using the machine had no
correlation with what he was doing and autocad LT crashing.

When does it occur? During what command or sequence of commands? What are
the PC specs (windows, HD space, video card, RAM, processor)? How is the
file accessed? Where is the file accessed from? Did the file start life in
another program or version of AutoCAD?
