Every few weeks my autosave option resets itself without human interaction therefore when AutoCAD crashes a backup file is not created and I end up losing work. Can someone please explain why/how this is happening.
Whilst using a single file referenced in multiple drawings the Xref Manager will not allow me to open the parent drawing if more than one of the externally referenced drawing files are open.
1. PUBLISH tends to turn it off for you. A Windows Registry reset can do it too.
2. Ensure everyone with AutoCAD, regardless of version, has Demand Load Xrefs set to ENABLED WITH COPY in Options>Open/Save tab, and any boxes below it.
