acad LT12 on win98 and upgd to acadLT2002

If I have windows 98 and I purchased autocadLT 12 – but never installed it.
Can I buy the upgrade of autocadLT2002 ?
The problem is I am not sure I can install the autocadLT12 on win 98 (on the case it says windows 3.11)
What should I do?

I suppose you mean AutoCAD LT R2?

If thats the case you can not by the LT 2002
upgrade.

But not due to installation issues. R2 should
install fine on W98.

Hovever there are time limits for AutoCAD
upgrades.

Your'e way to late to buy the upgrade.

Contact your local dealer for
deatails.

I'm afraid your current version of LT doesn't qualify you to use the
Upgrade to LT 2002, you'll have to buy the full install version. That's
the bad news.

The good news, as Petri Ahava points out, is that you don't have to have
any previous version actually installed on the computer when you load an
Upgrade version anymore. After you install, you request an
Authorization number when you register; if you did qualify for
upgrading, that's when you'd be asked for the qualifying previous serial
number. This time that feature won't benefit you since you don't
qualify, but the next time you qualify to upgrade, it can really
simplify the installation process for you!

Do your self a major favor and do the upgrade to Lt
2002 with or without any discount.

Purelu technically, if you have an ACADLT2002
Upgrade package, you no longer have to install the previous version to be able
to install LT 2002 Upgr. (New and better. Eh?)
