Viewports - LT2012

I think I'm going completely mad......

I have a drawing with 3 viewports. I want to add another viewport, so I go to View/Viewports/Add 1 Viewport and draw it in paperspace.

When I add this viewport, the information in another viewport dissapears and is no longer a viewport, just a rectangular frame, leaving behind it the paperspace dimensions pointing to nowhere!

Has the drawing inadvertantly been set to a max number of viewports, or is there something more sinister.

Help would be very much appreciated please....

ps

One of the viewports is irregular - don't know if that matters, although I don't see why it should!

Thanks for that - it was set to 4, now upped to 8.

I know I didn't change it, so it must be a default. Funny how it hasn't happened before. You learn every day  Smiley Embarassed

The default value is 64, but it's a drawing saved sysvar so it could have been changed in the drawing at some point before you got it.
