Video Card

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if it is alright to use a Gforce Ti 4200 or Radeon 9000
(or similar) video card for use with LT2002 (2D drafting). My existing
Matrox G400 has packed a sad, and I cannot afford the new "Matrox Pirahna".

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Geforce based video cards are excellent with autodesk products. Just be careful not to buy a full gaming only card, as AutoCAD and first person shooter games have little in common when accessing video card abilities.

Thankyou for the reply,

What are "Gaming" only cards in the Gforce range?
or what should I look for in a card for use with LT?

The Radeon is an excellent gaming card.
On the product boxes, watch out for cards
that only talk about how wonderful they
work with one or two games, and/or include
shareware versions of those games in the box.

PNY brand GeFroce cards are well suited for office environments and applications, the target user for LT.
