Unreconciled new layers

Being new to Acad LT 2011 (last used Acad2000), I'm seeing a dialog box pop up often that says "Unreconciled new layers".  What should that mean to me and what should I do about it? 

As a side note, I'm quite pleased with this new version and features and actually so far am have not overly missed my lisp routines.

Well, you could reconcile them, or you can look up the variable that shuts off this notification (sorry the name escapes me at present)...

what is Autocad wanting me to do to "reconcile" the new layers...this is a new expression to me.

Look up LAYERNOTIFY and LAYEREVAL variables in HELP.
