Uninstalling Previous Version of Autocad.

We upgraded from 2002lt to 2006lt and we now have both version available.

Is there any way to unistall the 2002Lt Version?

Hello,

Yes just go to ADD/Remove and uninstall the older version of AutoCAD LT.

Hope this helps.

There is no AutoCad 2002LT in the ADD/Remove Programs list.
My IT guy has looked thourghly and all that is in the Program list is the AutoCad 2006LT Version.
But the 2002LT folders are still in explorer and it still works, along with 2006LT.

It's a mystery. The problem is that sometimes it reverts back to 2002LT as the default program for opening drawings.

You could just delete the program folder... .

I had a similar problem. I uninstalled the previous version by running its
installation disc. The third option on the install menu is to uninstall the
program.

Kindest regards,

David

Run the 2 in parallel if you need to insert images as the hidden commands have been totally removed.

Uninstall function only removes GUI portions of the program. If you want to remove the entire file, you will have to go into the registery to do it. Windows XP has an interface that allows a search of the registry and makes doing this process very easy.

I come from an IT background and suggest that if you don't have a diploma from "Geek university", you might consider simply backing up all the files you never want to lose on to a external storage device. Then place you recovery disc from your PC survival package from the manufacture. Then run it. This completely restores the entire C:Drive. Meaning you will have to reload every software program you loaded after you purchased the PC. This is a drastic act, but does clean out the files from the system. I have never had a problem afterword and in fact discovered in most cases the PC runs better because you get rid of a lot of internet crap like spy ware.
