Unhandled Exception E0434F4D

Using AutoCAD Lt 2008 on XP and out of the blue comes this message:
Unhandled Exception E0434F4D at 7C812A5Bh. Some functions are not working and I'm at a loss to figure this one out. Any ideas?

What were you doing when it came up?
What functions stopped working?

have you tried a repair reinstall yet?

Dean,
It first happened when I opened the program. I tried the repair/reinstall and the same message came back. I'm not able to access layer properties, any web functions and the program just seems a bit sluggish. Thanks for the suggestions.

Found the problem. Microsoft's .NET Framework version 2.0 was corrupted (I've never used it) and somehow it caused the acadlt.exe to take the wrong path. I repaired the program (it had caused over 300 bad registry entries) and everything works fine. I really should have known it was in the OS as I've never had any failures using ACAD products.

How did you repair the program? I've tried the fixes recommended by AutoCAD and none of them work. I've also not updated to the .NET Framework v2.0 because it will not install properly.

Uninstall .NET, all versions, in Windows, then reinstall the one you need.

So, when I am unable to uninstall, I guess I just get out the bigger hammer, right? I get errors and messages like: "In order for this product to uninstall it must be installed."

Now that's a good error message: try Microsoft's open discussion areas, like
these here, for help while you wait here for others to jump in.

I solved this issue by starting AutoCAD 2010 while running procmon from Sysinternals ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx ). I noticed several errors when AutoCAD tried to read the .NET machine.config file.

I granted "Read" and "Read and Execute" to the local group "Users"
for the file "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config"

It then ran with no issues.

Hello.

I'm not sure that I understand you correctly.

I get  this communicate when I work in AutoCAD LT 2010 on windows XP.

I've installed .NET Framework 3.5.

I've reinstall all software and frameworks also.

But this problem is still exist.

What shall I do now?

Since one of the posts speaks to removing all instances of .NET and reinstalling those you may need to follow this advice:

.NET Cleanup Utility:
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/NET-Framework-Cleanup-Tool-for-Unhandled-Except...

And to ensure a clean install of AutoCAD:

Autodesk Recommended Clean Install Procedure:
