Stretching Tables

I'm using Autocad Lt 2006. I am working in a drawing with a number of tables and lines connecting them (it's a wiring diagram). When I try to stretch, the lines between the tables go where I want them to, but the tables don't move. Is there a way to make the tables move using the stretch command?

Define your stretch method, and your table style settings.

I'm using the standard table that comes in with the table command. I add and delete col's and rows as I need. I'm stretching by using the stretch command and selecting with a crossing window from right to left.

Select the Table, arrows show up, hover over each to see which ones are for
stretching, click and drag.

I'm not trying to make the table bigger or smaller, i just need it to move with everything else in the drawing. I'm needing to adjust spaces between boxes and tables and text to add additional information.

You edit a table like you would in a spreadsheet program, not by using line
editing commands.

To widen a column or columns, you select a table and drag a grip.
To change the height of a line, you click inside one cell and drag to select
all the other cells, then you can use Properties to change settings.
To add text, you double-click inside a cell and start typing.
To change a cell or cells settings, highlight it by clicking in it, then
right-clicking and editing.

There are many ways to do this, but you need to understand the concept of
tables, either in AutoCAD or in programs like Excel: HELP in LT is a great
resource to start learning how to use tables, give it a whirl but feel free
to post back with specific questions if you get stuck.

Dean, thanks for your efforts, but, maybe I'm not making myself clear. I'm not trying to edit or change the table. I have five tables in a drawing. The different tables are connected by a series of lines. I need to put information on the drawings that is not contained in the tables. When I need to move a table to make room, I have to move the table and then extend all of the lines back to the table. It seems easier to stretch. That should bring both the lines and the table to the place on the drawing that I want them, but it isn't. The lines stretch just like I want them to, but the table stays where it was.

You cannot use Stretch command on Tables.
