Points To Blocks

I have over 13,000 points surveyed and referenced into a DWG drawing.
However, the points, faintly lined, cannot be seen very well and have no
line weight (since they're points not lines).

What we want to do is create a filled circle point style. Is there a way to
replace points in Autocad LT 2002 with blocks. I know of an VBA extension
for Autocad full version. However, Autocad LT does not run Visual Basic
programs.

If not is there a place to download more point styles from the internet,
maybe, one being a solid fill circle?

These are the only 2 solutions I can derive.

Thanks

PDMODE, change the dot of the point to something more substantial: HELP
explains usage.

Thanks for the advice, but as stated before, my problem is
not with the point styles available. I know what they look like. Rather,
it is with their lineweight which is unclear and not easily distinguishable.
Enlarging them makes almost no difference, regardless of whether it is a circle
with an 'X' through the middle or any other point style.

So..(back to square one)...is there any way to replace
points with a block for CAD LT?

Or is there any way to enlarge the library of point styles
available?

INSERT command, or DONUT command, help yourself.
No, you cannot 'add' more point styles: the twenty identified in HELP are
it.

POINT styles are X as well as boxes and anything else: perhaps a more
VISIBLE screen color along with a non-point/non-X point shape, and PDSIZE
can help?

What colors are you using and what background color?  White and yellow
points work well on a black background.  I find with dpmode set to 3,
sufficient size (dpsize) and white or yellow points, there is no problem
locating them.  Are you also showing the elevation and description at the
same time?  They can help locate the points.

Another idea is to take your point file and write a routine that will
insert blocks at those same locations, assuming you have a separate point
file.  I use a third party package to insert points, but you may want to
contact them about modifying their routine.  The routine is called
"pointor" from Ransen (Ransen.com), but you will need to get a lisp and
objectarx enabler program. (edited out by moderator)

Hope this helps.
