Plotting shaded drawings

I am trying to plot a shaded drawing without success. From the 3D view of my drawing I select view,shade, 16 colour filled and this is the effect I would like to be able to plot, but as soon as I plot I get just a wireframe drawing. Can anyone cast any light on this problem?

Unfortunately, according to the help file ( under shade command) the
views generated by shade and hide are not printable. I am unaware of
any workaround other than a screen capture if you need these views.
