We just noticed that the osnapz command is not available in Autocad LT. We did compare the software before buying at http://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-autocad-lt/compare/compare-products and understood that 3D was not an option but Osnapz was not mentionned as not available.
But the osnapz command would be very usefull when we receive plans that have elevation that we could ignore with the osnapz Variable.
Is there anyway to add this command to the program ?
Thanks,
Regards,
It should then be added to item not included in the LT version as well as the comparison tool between Autocad and Autocad LT as it is a usefull function. I also think that a lot of users would consider the purchase of the LT vs Autocad when you know that features is not available. Doest it worth the 3000.00$ difference, I do not think so but....
Its never been a secret: http://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-autocad-lt/compare/compare-products
Would love BURST myself but that ain't on the list either...
Download a Trial and find out. The time spent checking may be worth more than the $3000 delta.

There is no command-by-command comparison document: if you wish to create one, please do. As a general rule, if it's not in HELP in LT it's not in LT.
There are these from Autodesk: http://www.autodesk.com/products/autodesk-autocad-lt/compare/compare-products and http://autodesk.idealab.cz/new/images/stories/pdf/AutoCADLT/autocad_lt_release_comparison_matrix.pdf
You can find out more through blogs and other posts from users and learning facilities all over the internet.

We did download the trial and tried it for a month but never noticed that it was not part of the software. It is just sad, we were just wondering if there was a way to add it to the software or if it was a programing mistake as mention in another forum post where they were mentionning that Osnapz (acad 2013 LT) was part of the help. It is not anymore in acad LT 2014.
We noticed it today while installing a new version of LT and wanted to make sure that the osnapz was well configured in the options.
