Mtext symbols List

Is it possible to edit the standard pull down symbols list. There are lots to choose from but I would like to add a favorite to the current list.
Thanks

Yes, but the 'how-to' depends on which version you have.

BTW, using and customising right-click menus would make accessing your
favourite commands even easier.

I do believe you cannot edit that list, but perhaps Simon can shed more
light.

Sorry I didn't read your first post properly.

I hope that I can still help, if I understand what you are after.

The below is from the help files, but to add.... you could make your own
folder of favourite blocks/symbols and set that as your home folder.
You can use any folder and any dwg in that folder as a 'symbol'.

Hope this helps..................

To load the content area of DesignCenter with a symbol library

If DesignCenter is not already open, click Tools menu Palettes DesignCenter.
On the DesignCenter toolbar, click Home.
In the content area, double-click the symbol library drawing that you
want to load into the DesignCenter and then double-click the Blocks icon.
The symbol library you selected is loaded into the DesignCenter content
area.

NoteYou can set your home folder to any folder that contains symbol
library drawings. If your home folder is set to a different path,
navigate to a folder that contains symbol library drawings and
right-click on the folder. Click Set as Home.

You can add your own symbols to the MText list - see:

It wasn't till I read the cadforum info that I fully comprehended what was being asked. Lightbulbs and all that. I might start looking for Symbols now...

I must admit that I have never made use of that 'symbol' drop down.

I have always used the 'Alt+code' for the odd symbol that I've needed.

see attached view of the 'Character map'.

I assume most of the symbols available will be there.

Just in case.....

START / ALL PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / SYSTEM TOOLS / CHARACTER MAP

I really like this, but our IT department isn't too thrilled about "others" messing with regedit.

Is there any way to remove any of the standard symbols?

No, since you are in theory wanting to mess with the core program.
