Message says drawing in use or read only

Upgraded my computer to Windows 8 OS. I re-installed AutoCAD LT 2010. When I try to open a drawing it says drawing is currently in use or is read only. This a stand alone computer and not on a network.

What is my solution to this problem

Windows 8 is not supported yet.

not supported=no one is going to fix it. yet? Who knows so far.

The error is from Windows, not AutoCAD, your file is locked. Location of the file may be the problem: you'll need to find out if you have read/write/delete/rename abilities in that folder. If you post back provide a path to that folder, perhaps something obvious might pop-up.
